Yes. Dogs enjoy structured, supervised playtime during the day in our cage-free play areas. At night, each pup has their own comfortable sleeping space so they can rest safely.
All pups must have:
- Rabies
- DHPP
- Bordetella
- Influenza
Additionally, we strongly advise vaccinating your dog against Parvovirus for enhanced protection however it is not required.
The test is conducted by having the pet owner drop off their dog for a period of 1 hour, which allows us to observe how the dog interacts in a group setting and identify any initial excitement or anxiety. Our trained staff will introduce the dog to a closed-off area of the playground room first, then to a 'meet-n-greet' dog and gradually to a larger group of dogs. Our staff are trained to recognize the dog's cues such as breathing, body language, and sounds to evaluate their behavior. Not all dogs pass the test, but it doesn't mean they are aggressive or unsocial, it just means that they were unable to adapt to the surroundings. Pets can retake the test after the recommended steps by the Island staff are taken.
At Puppy Island, we categorize pups into three distinct sections based on size, behavior, and play style. Our skilled team diligently assigns dogs to their appropriate groups upon arrival each day, considering their current mood and the environment where they will thrive the most.
Yes! Boarding dogs enjoy supervised daycare play during the day so they stay active, social, and happy while staying with us.
Private boarding is designed for dogs who don’t socialize well with others, such as seniors or those with a history of aggression. In private boarding, your dog will not interact with other dogs — instead, our staff will provide one-on-one care and supervision. This service is available under our VIP and LUX packages.
Yes! While your dog is staying with us, you can add on grooming, spa treatments, walks, gym sessions, and even photography. We especially recommend spa or grooming services for long-term boarders, as dogs can get dirty while playing with their furry friends.
